Danielle Mulima

Coordinator, Health and Advocacy

Danielle is the Coordinator for both the Canada advocacy team and the health team at Human Rights Watch. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Danielle worked as a Legislative Assistant for Members of Parliament engaged on international files. At the government of Ontario, she worked with the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration as well as the Ministry of Community and Social Services. She also has experience working for development and humanitarian organizations. At Islamic Relief Canada she worked as a Programs Officer overseeing projects in Africa and Asia. With Care International, Danielle supported CARE’s advocacy with the UN in Geneva and monitored trends in the humanitarian sector. Danielle also has experience working with multilateral organizations. At UNICEF she worked in the Country Office Development and Support team in Geneva. At the OECD she worked in the Evidence-Based Policy Making team.

Danielle holds a Master’s Degree in International Development from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland and an Undergraduate Degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto.
