Adam Coogle is a deputy director with the Middle East and North Africa division at Human Rights Watch, which he joined in 2010. He was a senior researcher with Human Rights Watch between 2013 and 2020 and has written extensively based on his investigations into human rights abuses across the region. He received an M.A. in Arab Studies from Georgetown University in 2009 and a B.A. in Religion from Florida State University in 2005.
