Kseniya Kvitka
Kseniya Kvitka is an assistant researcher on Ukraine in the Europe and Central Asia Division at Human Rights Watch. Since 2022, she has worked extensively documenting war crimes in Russia’s war against Ukraine. She has also worked on gender equality, sexual violence, freedom of religion, expression and media freedoms and property rights, and extensively documented abuses happening in Russia-occupied territories of Ukraine.
Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Kseniya worked with the Ukraine's governmental institution in healthcare, International Committee of the Red Cross, and charitable foundation Ukraine's Women's Fund.
She holds master's degrees in both political science from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and public administration from Ukrainian Catholic University. Kseniya is based in Kyiv, and she speaks Ukrainian, English, and Russian.
