Hiba Zayadin is a Researcher in the Middle East and North Africa Division, investigating human rights abuses in the UAE and Qatar. She previously worked as a Human Rights Watch Research Assistant, helping investigate human rights abuses in Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and authoring a report on Jordan’s discriminatory nationality law and the treatment of non-citizen children of Jordanian women in the country. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Zayadin served four years as editor of the Middle East and North Africa desk at IFEX, a global network of organizations working to promote and defend freedom of expression as a fundamental human right. She holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast and print journalism.
