Lauren Camilli
Lauren Camilli leads Human Rights Watch’s Office of the General Counsel and its compliance function. She is responsible for the organization’s legal services globally, and is HRW’s leader on a range of legal and compliance matters including tax, media law, intellectual property, US and foreign operations, insurance, commercial transactions, litigation, and employment.
Lauren has more than 20 years of legal and compliance experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, most recently as General Counsel and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer for Blumont, a global humanitarian aid organization. Prior to Blumont, Lauren was a Director at DXC Technology (formerly CSC) where she led a team deploying Ethics & Compliance programs to some 75,000 employees. Additionally, she previously worked as in-house counsel at Intelsat, BAE Systems, and Leonardo DRS. Lauren began her legal career at the law firm Odin, Feldman & Pittleman in Virginia, U.S., and holds degrees from the University of Richmond in Virginia and Colgate University in New York state. Lauren was raised in New York and is based in Washington D.C.
