
Lise Dahl
Lise Dahl is associate director of research training and standards at Human Rights Watch, supporting researchers with capacity building and training to ensure quality and rigor in human rights investigations. For two decades, she has worked in international human rights research and programming, capacity building and training, rights education, and local partnerships. Lise has worked in Africa and Asia in the areas of access to justice, customary justice systems, police conduct, gender and social inclusion, and indigenous peoples’ rights. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, she was chief advisor at the Danish Institute for Human Rights. She has also worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Cambodia on access to justice for marginalized groups, and in public information at the UN Secretariat in New York. Lise holds a master’s degree in international law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
