LWOP Senior Project Organizer

Tilly Krishna is the LWOP Senior Project Organizer in the Children’s Rights Division of Human Rights Watch, where she leads advocacy for the Life Without Parole (LWOP) Project, which aims to end life without parole sentencing in the United States. Her work focuses on supporting the National LWOP Leadership Council—a collective of formerly incarcerated advocates—through organizing strategies that advance restorative justice and broader criminal justice reform.

Before joining Human Rights Watch, Tilly worked with the ACLU of Southern California on litigation challenging capital punishment in California. She has also contributed to racial and economic justice efforts in Vermont and the city of St. Louis, focusing on the intersections of policing and housing. Tilly holds an A.B. in Government with a secondary in Economics from Harvard University.
