Siri Stolt-Nielsen, Oslo
Siri is Norwegian and resides in Switzerland. Having graduated in graphic design and art history at Académie Charpentier, Paris, and Christies, London, Siri Stolt-Nielsen established SSN Graphics in Oslo, consulting in marketing and packaging designs for international corporations. As an accomplished artist, Siri has exhibited her work at London’s Mall Galleries and London Contemporary Art. Siri’s solo exhibition at Blomqvist Oslo sold out in 2015, and all the proceeds were donated to Human Rights Watch’s media division.
In 2008, Siri joined the Human Rights Watch London Committee and became as a Human Rights Watch Ambassador in Norway. Steadily helping to build the organization’s Norwegian profile, she has hosted several events raising awareness for the Human Rights Watch. In 2011, Siri hosted the first Voices For Justice Dinner in Oslo, which continues to help grow an important network of engaged Norwegian donors and supporters, many of whom now belong to the ever strengthening Circle of Friends.
In addition to being a Board member, Siri is the Vice Chair of the Development and Outreach Committee and serves as a member of the Council Steering Committee and Nominating and Governance Committee. She also is active in the new Art and Activism initiative at Human Rights Watch. Other board positions have included the World Yacht and Circle Line in New York. Siri continues to serve as a Human Rights Watch Ambassador for Norway. Siri has two daughters. She speaks French.
