Omar Al-Fotihi is a Multimedia Producer at Human Rights Watch. He films, produces, and edits video and multimedia stories with a special focus on the Middle East and North Africa. Omar has supervised and trained HRW staff on video storytelling and led creative meetings. His work has been broadcasted globally on news outlets, displayed at press conferences, and presented in advocacy meetings. In addition to his work for Human Rights Watch, Omar is a filmmaker who has produced and directed documentary short films and digital campaigns. Omar is a graduate of Earlham College and was a fellow at UnionDocs, a non-profit center for documentary arts. Omar is a native of Yemen. He is fluent in Arabic and proficient in Spanish.
