Committees are Human Rights Watch’s most established membership groups. Committees are supported by a committee director or Human Rights Watch staff member based in-country who provides support and direction for committee activities. Each committee is responsible for producing a Voices for Justice Annual Dinner or flagship event to raise awareness and funding for the organization and to build an equitable and inclusive community that reflects the diversity of the local community. Members participate in local meetings and events in their city and are committed to support the work of Human Rights Watch. The Stockholm committee is chaired by Ulrika Laurin.
