Angela Sharma graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia in 1996. Since then she has worked as a commercial litigation solicitor in both England and Australia and then, for seven years, as a derivatives lawyer in London with Zurich Capital Markets and then Lehman Brothers. From 2007 to 2012, Angela was an executive director in equity derivatives with JPMorgan London. Angela left banking in 2012 to raise her son and daughter. She joined Human Rights Watch in September 2016.
