Alysha Orbach
Alysha Orbach serves as an Associate for Human Rights Watch’s US Program. Prior to joining the US Program, Alysha was the Director for March for Our Lives DC where she led youth advocates in the organizing field of gun violence prevention. Her strategic areas of focus were in cultivating grassroots partnerships for community level organizing and at the federal level spearheaded youth lobbying of Congressional leaders in the pursuit of ending gun violence in the United States.
Alysha received a BSFS in Culture and Politics with a focus on the intersection of race and gender from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. As an undergraduate student she was a 2023 Cohort Member of the course informally named “Making an Exoneree” where she worked and continues to work on the exoneration case of a wrongfully incarcerated individual.
