Hanna Yumura

Hanna Yumura joined Human Rights Watch in 2012. Her recent work at Human Rights Watch Asia division focuses on research, advocacy, and campaigning with partner organizations. A focus of such work is on children’s rights in Japan, particularly in relation to sport and access to education. Yumura contributed to the Human Rights Watch report “’I Was Hit So Many Times I Can’t Count’: Abuse of Child Athletes in Japan” (2020). She is also the Senior Operations Officer for Human Rights Watch Tokyo office.
