More than 100 people in Gaza have died since Israel began launching air attacks against Palestinians, and Gaza's militants continue to fire rockets into Israel. All attacks, including revenge attacks, that target or indiscriminately harm civilians are prohibited under the laws of war.
Iraqi security forces and militias loyal to the government appear to have executed at least 255 prisoners since June 9. In all but one case, the executions took place while the government fighters were fleeing Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS). The vast majority of security forces and militias are Shia, while the murdered prisoners were Sunni.  When the UK extradited Abu Qatada to Jordan to be tried for terrorism, Jordan promised the UK it would not use evidence against him gained through torture. This, however, didn't happen.  Bolivia is one presidential signature away from becoming the world's only country allowing 10-year-olds to work as a means to fight poverty. However, this law would only strengthen the poverty cycle.
