In this letter, Human Rights Watch responds to the serious yet groundless charges made about our work in Colombia by University of London Professor Michael Spagat in a recent paper entitled “The Work of Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch: Evidence from Colombia,” (Andrés Ballesteros, Jorge A. Restrepo, and Juan F. Vargas, coauthors), released by the authors’ Colombian think-tank, CERAC.
