Letter to President Nazarbaev

We are writing to express our deep concern about criminal charges brought against Amirzhan Qosanov, the executive committee chairman of the Republican People’s Party of Kazakhstan (RNPK), and to ask that you take all measures to ensure him an impartial and transparent trial. Court proceedings are due to begin at the Medeu District Court in Almaty on October 6, 2003.
