Federica Nucita

Associate, Disability Rights Division

Federica is an Associate supporting the Disability Rights Division. Before joining Human Rights Watch in this capacity, she interned with the UN Advocacy Team, supporting the advocacy activities at the Human Rights Council in Geneva.

Federica holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, International, and Economic Studies from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and a Master’s Degree in International Law from the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID).

In addition to Disability Rights, migration is one of her research interests in human rights. She won the Mariano Garcia Rubio Prize from the Geneva Graduate Institute for the best Master’s thesis in International Law, entitled “Decolonizing Migration and Development: Readmission Clauses in Development and Cooperation Agreements.”

She speaks Italian, English, Spanish, and French, and she is based in Geneva.
