David Brown is the principal of Penobscot Management LLC, founded in 1973 and based in Teaneck, NJ. The firm invests in, develops, and manages residential rental and commercial real estate in Illinois, North Carolina, and New Jersey.
Mr. Brown had been on advocacy missions on arms issues to Bulgaria, Slovakia, Indonesia, and Georgia as well part of the World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He has been a member of the advisory board of the World Policy Institute and World Policy Journal since 1995.
Mr. Brown served as member or officer on school boards of Elisabeth Morrow School, Englewood, NJ, Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County, New Milford, NJ, and Schechter Regional High School, Teaneck, NJ. He attended Fichtegymnasium, in Krefeld, Germany, American Field Service, and Cornell University where he obtained his AB in Government, 1966. He was also in the US Marine Corps Reserve where he served from 1966 until 1972.
