Promoting National War Crimes Trials in the Democratic Republic of Congo

The ICC is not intended and does not have the resources to prosecute all those responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity in the DRC. With just a few cases in The Hague, the impunity gap is enormous. It is vital to strengthen the capacity of national courts in the DRC so that they can fairly and appropriately investigate and prosecute other grave crimes.
