Nīa Knighton is an associate with the Crisis, Conflict and Arms Division. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, she interned at the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute, where she worked on civil and political rights issues in the Middle East and North Africa and North America regions. She holds a law degree with a concentration in social justice advocacy from Stetson University College of Law, and a bachelor’s in international studies from the University of South Florida. She speaks English and Mandarin.
