Marie Warburg, M.D. received her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and completed her post-doctoral training in internal medicine at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. She served as chief of Ambulatory Care at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, Massachusetts and as Senior Medical Director for PAREXEL International, a major global contract research organization. She went on to join Bellevue Asset Management, where she was a portfolio manager for BB Biotech. Since then, she has served as a fund manager and consultant for several companies and funds specializing in the biomedical industry.
Dr. Warburg has served as a director of MPM Capital and Idenix Pharmaceuticals and as a director of Private Life Biomed AG, a German-based private equity life science fund. She currently serves as director of the American Council on Germany, the German and American Friends of the Jewish Museum Berlin, several Hamburg based foundations, the Institute for the History of German Jews, Hamburg, the Roland Berger Foundation and Human Rights Watch and is also the former Chair of its Berlin Committee.
