A Letter to Congressional Leaders

We are writing to express our serious concerns regarding the proposed expansion of the Attorney General's powers to detain non-citizens in the anti-terrorism bills now under consideration (H.R. 2975, S. 1510). We recognize the challenges faced by Congress as it seeks to legislate effective anti-terrorism measures while ensuring the protection of fundamental rights and liberties.
