Jabran bin al Qahtani is a Saudi citizen who was brought to Guantanamo in 2002. He has a graduate degree in engineering from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. He was initially charged with conspiracy before the military commissions on December 16, 2005, but those charges were later dismissed. Sworn charges were again filed in 2009 against him, but were once again dismissed in January of 2013. 

On October 25, 2016 a US government interagency review board cleared al Qahtani for release

He was repatriated to Saudi Arabia on January 19, 2017. He had been at Guantanamo for over 15 years. (Last updated August 9, 2018)
