Hassan Elmasry

Hassan is managing partner and lead portfolio manager at Independent Franchise Partners, LLP.  He has 30 years of experience managing equity portfolios for institutional clients.  Prior to co-founding Independent Franchise Partners, LLP, Hassan was a managing director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.  Hassan holds an AB in Economics and an MBA in Finance, both from the University of Chicago.  He is a member of the CFA Institute.  Mr. Elmasry joined Human Rights Watch’s London Committee and the organization’s Middle East/North Africa Advisory Committee in 2004. He joined the board of directors in 2007 and served as Co-Chair from 2013-2019.
