Nina Alizadeh Marandi

Nina Alizadeh Marandi, Mercator Fellow, works on a wide range of human rights issues with a focus on curbs for civil society spaces, state repression and limitation of freedom rights.

Her recent work has included curbs of civil society spaces in France and Germany.

Nina holds a German law degree and a master’s degree from Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before joining Human Rights Watch she has been working with the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights as well as the German Institute for Human Rights.

She speaks German, English and French.
