Melanie Nepomnyaschy is an associate in the Development and Outreach Department of Human Rights Watch. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Melanie worked as a marketing and media outreach coordinator for a non-profit foundation in Oberlin, Ohio that awards grants to address basic human needs and enrich cultural life. Melanie previously worked as a research assistant at Columbia University, where she studied New Yorkers’ quality of life and the effects of poverty and inequality on family well-being. She graduated from Oberlin College in 2018 with a BA in Psychology.
