Hugo Arruda

Hugo Arruda is senior coordinator for Human Rights Watch in Brazil. He holds a degree in Public Policy and Management from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a post-graduate degree in Social Projects and Nonprofit Management from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). Prior to joining the HRW team in Brazil, he worked extensively with civil society organizations in the country and abroad, having worked with the operations and communications of a Swiss organization for international cooperation in Brazil and with the management of the community leadership program at the Leadership Development Institute at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco.
