Hanna Darroll
Hanna Darroll is an Associate in the Development and Outreach Department at Human Rights Watch in San Francisco. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Hanna worked as an investigative researcher at UC Berkeley’s Human Rights Center, where she utilized open-source intelligence to identify and verify international human rights violations and war crimes. Before that, Hanna ran a successful student government campaign at UC Berkeley, advocating for resources for survivors of sexual assault and increased access to mental health services for all students. Hanna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies from UC Berkeley in Spring 2018. She wrote her senior thesis on the socio-political implications of Russia’s intervention in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Hanna was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
