Aurélie Poelhekke is a coordinator in the International Justice Program. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, she spent time in Cambodia conducting comparative research on the country’s then-proposed law prohibiting acid attacks. Aurélie holds a master’s degree in International Crimes and Criminology from the VU University Amsterdam where she focused on the use of social science evidence before the Special Court of Sierra Leone. She speaks English, Dutch, and French.
