London Next Gen Community

The Next Generation Community (Next Gen) is a group of young professionals and students in London who actively engage with Human Rights Watch and support its work through raising awareness, increasing engagement on human rights issues, and empowering the next generation of human rights advocates to stand up for human rights through digital campaigns, in-person and virtual events, and targeted communications.

The Next Gen Community in London is chaired by Krissy Brooks and Jacob Brockmann.

We are delighted that the Next Gen community has been growing and engaging a wider and more diverse audience directly with the HRW’s work. Over the past year a series of public events with HRW researchers has looked at the the use of digital investigations on the frontline in Ukraine, we have explored the climate crisis as a human rights crisis, and most recently we have celebrated International Women's Day by addressing women's movements in Iran and Afghanistan.
