Floriane Borel is the UN Advocacy Officer at Human Rights Watch’s office in Geneva, responsible for advocacy work at the UN Treaty Bodies, UN Human Rights Council and Universal Periodic Review. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Floriane was a Legal Assistant for Europe and Global Advocacy at the Center for Reproductive Rights and a foreign and security policy trainee at the German Marshall Fund in Brussels. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Economics from Wheaton College, Massachusetts, and a master’s degree in human rights from the University of Essex.
