Floriane Borel is the Acting UN Advocacy Officer at Human Rights Watch’s office in Geneva. Floriane coordinates Human Rights Watch’s work with the Universal Periodic Review and UN Treaty Bodies and facilitates its advocacy work at the UN Human Rights Council. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, she was a Legal Assistant for Europe and Global Advocacy at the Center for Reproductive Rights and interned at the German Marshall Fund in Brussels. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Economics from Wheaton College, Massachusetts, and a master’s degree in human rights from the University of Essex.
