In a letter to Abbe Malu Malu and the international facilitators to the Goma peace agreement, Human Rights Watch urges for the appointment of an independent special advisor on human rights for eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a position we believe is critical for efforts to bring peace to eastern Congo and security for all its citizens.
