The federal court system has a long track record of prosecuting terrorism suspects and has successfully convicted more than 400 people for terrorism-related offenses since 9/11. Only six cases have been completed in the military commissions system. Unfortunately, on April 4, 2011, the Obama administration announced that it would try these men in military commissions in Guantanamo instead of US federal court.
