An Israeli airstrike on this apartment building in Gaza on July 9, 2014, killed Amal Abed Ghafour, 30, and her year-old daughter, who were in their home across the street. A small non-explosive “warning” missile was fired at the building minutes before the main strike, but the family did not know of the warning or have time to flee.
