Krista Shennum is a Gruber Fellow with the Environment and Human Rights Division at Human Rights Watch, where her work focuses on human rights harms associated with plastics and exported plastic waste. Previously, Krista worked with grassroots environmental and human rights advocates in 80 countries to protect ecosystems and communities from environmental abuses with the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide. She holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon in Environmental Science and International Studies.
