Abier Ismail Almasri is the research assistant for the Gaza Strip at Human Rights Watch. A native of Gaza City, she received a BA in English Language and Literature from al-Azhar University in 2009 and a diploma in Methodology in Education from al-Quds Open University in 2015. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Abier worked as an interpreter for journalists and an English teacher and a trainer at foreign and local nonprofit organizations in Gaza.
