Corrections to our publications
Human Rights Watch strives to maintain the highest level of accuracy in our reporting. This includes a commitment to correcting errors or clarifying facts that appear in our publications in a timely fashion. Corrections appear both on this dedicated webpage and at the bottom of the publication that contained the error.
We cannot reply individually to all corrections requests, but all such requests that specify the exact nature of the alleged inaccuracy and the publication (title, page number / web address and date) in which it appeared will be reviewed. If you believe you have found an inaccuracy in our materials, please contact us.
Errors contained in social media posts under Human Rights Watch and staff accounts will also be corrected in a prompt and transparent manner.

Recent Corrections
11/21/2025: The French version of this news release now reflects the correct date Ahmed Souab was sentenced.
Edits were made to the report to clarify the limited scope of UN-Habitat's role in the original planned relocation project that led to the construction of the houses in Khar Yalla, specifically the timeline and nature of their involvement.
*La déclaration conjointe a été mise à jour une première fois le 23 juin, puis le 8 juillet, afin de refléter le nombre définitif et actualisé de signataires.
Le 14 mai, une phrase sur les deux premières audiences du 18 avril a été ajoutée au septième paragraphe afin de le rendre plus clair.
Ce chapitre a été modifié pour supprimer la mention selon laquelle Epoch Times, un média géré par le groupe religieux persécuté Falun Gong, a fermé son bureau de Hong Kong en 2024. Epoch Times n'a pas fermé son bureau, mais a suspendu son édition imprimée en septembre 2024 en raison « du non-renouvellement du bail de son imprimerie » et de « divers éléments à Hong Kong ».

Ce texte a été édité pour corriger le nombre de signataires de la déclaration commune.
May 30, 2024: The text was amended to reflect that Zied el-Heni was accused of "insulting" the trade minister.
Correction 30 mai 2024 : Le « nombre moyen de camions » entrant quotidiennement à Gaza comprend les camions qui transportent des fournitures d’aide humanitaire, et ceux qui transportent des marchandises commerciales.
