Maria Kunineva

Maria Kunineva is a fellow with the Europe and Central Asia division at Human Rights Watch, under a fellowship with the Oak foundation. She works on issues related to accessibility for people with disabilities, the rights of children with disabilities living in state institutions, and palliative care in Russia. Before joining Human Rights Watch, Kunineva earned her master degree in disability studies from Moscow State Pedagogic University. Kunineva speaks Russian sign language.
