6 The nongovernmental group Eurasia Foundation, facing charges that it had not registered its office properly and had held unauthorized workshops, decides to close its Tashkent office.
17 The Uzbek Foreign Ministry orders UNHCR to close its office in Uzbekistan within one month, claiming that it is no longer needed in the country.

A court orders the closure of the Andijan branch of Ezgulik.
Dadakhon Khasanov, a poet and singer who had written songs about the Andijan events, is detained on charges of anti-government activities and preparing written materials that threaten public order. He is released on bail.
The OSCE/ODIHR publishes a report calling for the first Andijan verdicts to be set aside, citing concerns about the right to a fair trial.
