Dominic Ongwen, a senior commander of the brutal rebel group, the Lord’s Resistance Army, has been convicted of war crimes and crimes against humanity by judges of the International Criminal Court. Ongwen’s trial is historic, as to date, this is the only case involving crimes by an LRA leader at the ICC.
