There has been "no let up" in police killings in Kenya, HRW said today. Police in Nairobi continue to kill crime suspects and protesters in the city's low-income areas despite persistent calls to end the killings. 

At least nine people have been killed after a gunman opened fire on two shisha bars in the western German city of Hanau. Early police reports suggest the killer may have had a far-right motive.
