The BBC has uncovered a sexual harassment scandal at senior levels of the Afghan government. Officials in Afghanistan deny wrongdoing, but women have described a consistent culture of abuse.

Another journalist has reportedly been killed in the Philippines, just days after three people were slain on Sunday. The murders come as the UN Human Rights Council meets to consider a resolution on the growing human rights crisis in the country.

Sudan has lifted an internet blackout, allowing people to upload videos of last month’s violent crackdown. Videos appear to show security forces beating protesters.

Yazmin Juarez, a migrant woman whose young daughter died a preventable death in US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody in 2018, has testified before US Congress. Both her and her daughter spent several days locked in a notorious "icebox" facility.

Both India and Pakistan should accept the recent findings of a UN report on the contested region of Kashmir and invite an independent investigation to help end serious abuses there.

And finally, nine months after the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Saudi Arabia’s efforts to influence US policy continue unabated
