10 December 2018 marks the 70th anniversary of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world, the Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris in 1948 as a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations.
For over 40 years, Human Rights Watch has been at the forefront of the international human rights movement, investigating human rights abuses and exposing the truth in order to bring about deep-rooted change. Please join us as we celebrate some of the most important human rights achievements of the past year.
The Voices for Justice Annual Dinners gather over 7,700 of our most influential supporters in more than 24 cities worldwide to honour courageous individuals who protect and defend human rights across the globe. Last year our 24 dinners raised over US $18 million. To learn more about our dinners, please click here.
