XI. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Human Rights Watch's delegation to Tanzania consisted of four researchers: Consultants Nathalie Arnold (Indiana University), Bruce McKim (Yale University), and Ben Rawlence, as well as Tony Tate, researcher in the Africa division of Human Rights Watch. We express our gratitude to our Tanzanian colleagues who provided invaluable assistance. The report was authored by Nathalie Arnold, Bruce McKim, and Ben Rawlence, with assistance from Pat Nyhan, volunteer, and Binaifer Nowrojee, counsel with the Africa division of Human Rights Watch. In the Africa division, the report was edited by Pat Nyhan, Binaifer Nowrojee, Tony Tate, and Janet Fleischman, Washington director. The report was also edited for Human Rights Watch by Wilder Tayler, legal and policy director, and Malcolm Smart, program director. Production and coordination assistance was provided by Jeff Scott, associate in the Africa Division, Patrick Minges, Publications Director, and Fitzroy Hepkins, Mail Manager.

This report was made possible in part by a gift from Jean-Christophe Castelli, in memory of Ludovic Trarieux (1840-1904), Dreyfusard and co-founder of the League of the Rights of Man, 1898.
