Pregnant girls and young mothers are often encouraged or forced to stay at home. Due to stigma associated with having children outside of wedlock, some girls face heavy pressure from their family to drop out of school and hide from society. Many are forced to get married. Once they have children, many girls often face a higher level of responsibility at home and find it impossible to return to school if they lack support.
