Abdul Latif, a Pakistani migrant worker, is the only person willing to be identified and photographed for this report. Most migrant workers wished to remain anonymous for their own protection; even those already in their home countries after experiencing wage abuse in Qatar believe they may one day return to the Gulf and hence asked for anonymity. Abdul Latif has retired and returned to his home country.
