A screenshot sent by an activist to Human Rights Watch that showed statements posted on May 8, 2018, on Facebook by an Egyptian army officer apparently confirming his participation in an extrajudicial killing of a child. The officer did not respond to Human Rights Watch inquiries about his statements and the account was later deactivated. Human Rights Watch reviewed other pictures he posted of himself, in which he was carrying a weapon and wearing an Egyptian military uniform.
