A displaced Kachin woman in Kachin State said that Burmese soldiers repeatedly fired upon her and her three grandchildren while they fled for safety. “When we ran the soldiers shot at us,” she said. “We were really afraid. We just ran and hid. There were many mosquitos and we were all wet in the rain, and everyone was crying.”
