Sipho, 14, who has epilepsy and an intellectual disability, sits with his aunt outside their house in Orange Farm township, Johannesburg. Sipho had to drop out of his first special school after having epileptic fits and was refused admission by second special school. He was finally able to attend a third special school after a two-year wait with the help of a local NGO.
