hand drawn map

Hand-drawn map of mass killing locations described by survivors of the massacre in Hoyyar Siri on May 2, 2024, after they escaped to Bangladesh and Malaysia. They pinpointed locations using online mapping services and, in some instances, captured photographs and videos that Human Rights Watch geolocated and verified. The three main sites shown in the hand-drawn map are near a small hill known as Toinna Mura; in the hamlet of Fatailla Para next to a pond; and in the western section of the Bor Para hamlet. Human Rights Watch geolocated photographs and videos showing human remains in the hamlets of Fatailla Para and Bor Para. Military equipment can be seen in the photographs among human remains at the Bor Para site. No evidence of military equipment is visible in the photographs and videos from the Fatailla Para site.
